Finding Technical Jobs in Utah
July 15th, 2005Robert Merrill has a great web site and seems to be doing all the right things to help employers find high tech employees and to help job seekers find great companies. He asked me to mention that there are a lot of good programming jobs available in Utah right now.

Another good way to find good technical employees in Utah is by soliciting local user groups, especially if there is a specific technology you are looking for.
My Linux group (http://uvlug.org) gets a lot of job postings via the "Contact Us" section of the site, and we also link to user groups interested in C#, Java, Perl, PHP, Python, Ruby, etc. In my opinion, members of user groups are some of the best prepared in the workforce. The fact they are actively furthering their education and helping others via a user group says a lot about them and their ability to work with others.
