Best Predictor of Success for a New Venture

I recently read that the best predictor of success for a new venture is whether the management team has worked together previously in a successful venture.

This makes sense to me. I think how well a team performs is more important than the star quality of any individual on the team. If the chemistry is good, if the team members have worked well together and know each other’s strengths and the roles they should each play then even though the new venture is a different business or even in a different industry the team will figure out how to succeed.

Will West and Curt Allen are among Utah’s entrepreneurs who have founded multiple companies with key team members from previously successful startups.

Do you know of any others?

I’m writing an article about team building for Connect Magazine, and I need to know of other Utah serial entrepreneurs who have started new companies with the same team as before.

Please let me know if you can think of any Utah or non-Utah example of founding teams moving from one success to another.
